He holds an ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano Performance and Grade 6 in Music Theory with a focus on harmony and composition, grounding his musicianship in both technical discipline and expressive depth. His pianistic training was shaped through studies with Giancarlo Simonacci, while his theoretical formation in harmony and composition was guided by Gerardo Jacoucci.

Paolo graduated with a First Class BSc Honours in Music Technology and Production from the University of Derby in 2021, receiving consecutive Dean’s Awards in 2019 and 2020 and the Focusrite Prize for outstanding achievement. Alongside performance, Paolo is an experienced piano and music production educator. He is currently a Music Teacher at Stone Soup Academy. He previously worked as a Music Teacher at John Port Spencer Academy and Farnborough Spencer Academy. After completing a PGCE in 2022, he secured Qualified Teacher Status and completed Early Career Teacher status with the UK Department for Education. His teaching focuses on developing pianistic fluency, stylistic awareness, and practical recording skills, supporting students in translating performance into high quality recorded outcomes.

Paolo’s recording career spans more than two decades. He has worked as a music producer, session pianist, arranger, and sound engineer on over 20 albums and numerous singles. He has also conducted and orchestrated original soundtracks for major Italian blockbuster films, contributing to some of the highest grossing productions in contemporary Italian cinema. His work includes achieving a Top 10 position in the Italian charts with the Platinum single ‘Il resto è inutile’ and extensive experience across studio recording, live performance, and film scoring.
