Lucy is a Manchester-based pianist, composer and producer with a background in classical, contemporary and electronic music. She achieved Grade 8 piano and a performance diploma before studying Music Production at undergraduate level at the University of Salford, followed by postgraduate study in Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Alongside her classical training, Lucy has developed a career as a performer, composer and producer. She plays in the bands Phoebe Green and The Cutter, as well as creating and performing her own solo electronic music. She has toured across the UK and Europe, performing at venues and festivals including Manchester Arena, Victoria Warehouse, Reading & Leeds Festival and Tramlines, and has supported artists including Self Esteem, Swim Deep, Black Honey, Everything Everything, The Courteeners and Mac DeMarco.
Lucy’s teaching combines technical understanding with creativity and practical musicianship. Drawing from her experience as a performer and composer, she helps students develop their confidence through learning chords, harmony, rhythm, improvisation and the songs that they enjoy playing.
